For this illustrator assignment I chose to create my own logo for myself. I eventually want to design, build and customize cars; so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to come up with an idea for the company name and logo. I came up with the name “Dynamic Kustom”.
The word dynamic is often used to describe sports cars, and since that is what I would be mainly focused on, i decided that was a good name. The Kustom part of the name came from customization, but I used a K instead of a C to make it look unique. I then chose Old English as the final font style, because the letters have a lot of moving lines, emphasizing motion. I then used the pen tool to draw the outlines of the car, leaving the back portion with flowing lines, to also show motion (dynamic). The last step i did was create a black oval to tie everything together, and then repainted the hidden things with a white brush.
In this assignment, I used an original image of myself in Photoshop, I then created a new layer and used the mixer brush to paint myself. I achievement all the highlights and correct tones my constantly cleaning my brush and using as much brush strokes as I could, but with short strokes.
Once the painting was completed, I selected the rainbow colors on the gradient tool, drew a line diagonally, then I used the Difference Of Clouds from Filter. The beams of light was then created using the pen tool, stroking the line with the brush, then adding the highlight/glow from with the Layer Style option
For this creative assignment. I had to come up with my own theme that I wanted to photograph, subjects that had some kind of relationship. I eventually decided to take some pictures of my shoes and bandannas , I like bright colored clothing. I then set up a makeshift studio using paper, so that the backgrounds will be identical and easily changeable.
Once all the images were uploaded to Photoshop, I adjusted all the saturation’s and contrast, cropped the images and remove any unwanted specs.
For this assignment, I took as much pictures as I could on my way to and from school. Once I had enough images, I examined them all side by side, creating a mental concept of what I could do with them. Once I had a concept, I cropped and layered them, then spherized the horizon to give the image more depth. I then tied the images together by laying different colors, adding a sunset effect.
